Our News
Happy New Year from everyone in Senior Infants! We all had a lovely break over the holidays and now we are ready to get back to work. To celebrate the start of 2012 we decided to make some new year resolutions or goals. We chose goals that we felt we could achieve and goals that would make us happy and maybe even those around us. Goals take lots of practise and hard work but we think we can do it!
Our Work
Senior Infants are having a great time with the Food Dudes. Everyday some healthy snacks arrive in our classroom for us to taste. We love guessing what food it might be! Not only are we learning how healthy foods help our bodies but we also get a small treat every time we try the snacks. So far we’ve all tried bananas, apples, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots and raisins! Yum!
Our Art
We have been looking and responding to the work of Henry Matisse. We really liked The Snail. Matisse made it by cutting up paper and sticking it on a big piece of paper. This is known as collage but Matisse called it “painting with a scissors”. We made our own snail trail. Its on display outside our classroom.
